How to clean your cricut mats

I thought I might share how I get my cricut mats clean and then stickey again.
Its cheap and simple. I remove the stickiness with GOO GONE that I bought at Walmart. I spray it on, let it sit a little while then scape it off with a spatula, then spray again and wipe off with a damp cloth.
I use a repositionable glue stick to make it stickey again. I think its by 3M and I also bought it at Walmart.
I have tried "Stick away and Stick and stay" and I think it makes my mats too stickey.
Try my technique and let me know how it worked for you.

A Little about whats happening and some Blog Candy.....

Getting ready for another big scrapping weekend. First Weekend in November "SCRAPS!" is hosting another "Scrapmania" at Full Gospel Assembly. I can not wait. My plan is to get some paper piecing done.

Just got another awesome order in from Memory Works. I am so pleased with the quality of their stuff. I plan to place another order mid November.... so if anyone is interested take a look at my website and let me know what you would like, or drop by SCRAPS and take a look at the catalog. My website is http://www.shesascrapper.memory-works.com/

I'M OFFERING FREE SHIPPING THIS TIME!!!!

Get your Christmas shopping done early, or if anyone is interested I also offer gift certificates!

I've been having fun with DIGI stamps. Anyone tried them yet? So easy to use, and no stamps to store makes them wonderful. Only problem that I have had is getting my ink to dry and not smudge when I color the stamps.

Here are a couple tips to help you if you have this same problem.

1. You can dry the ink first with a heat gun or hair dryer....duh.... I should have know this.
2. You can use clear embossing powder to cover the ink.

Also wanted to share that I found a spot on Amazon to get Cricut Blades Cheap.
Just click on them on my side bar.

Everyone is offering Blog Candy these days, so if you read my blog and check out some of my links then leave a comment. I will be giving away a cute little winter paper pack from Memory Works. A random winner will be chosen from the comments. Winner to be announced on Friday!!!!

Above are some pics of what I've been working on lately......
I wish I could figure out how to put them in HERE!! If anyone knows how please fill me in.
Enjoy.....

Time Flies

WOW! Time has really flown by. Where did summer go? I have made so many changes, and I'm so happy with my Life. I have a great big announcement to make. I am officially a partner in the a little scrapbooking store in Houlton, Maine calls "SCRAPS!". I just love spending time at the store working, crafting, and socializing. I've even sold some of my cards and layouts there!

With a little extra time in my schedule I'm going to try to post more of my creations and ideas.

I spent last weekend at a beautiful camp on Nickerson Lake with some ladies scrapping the time away. We had a blast! I finally was able to get into one of my kits from Memory Works and make some pages and cards.

Also made a Patriots SVG file for a friend. If you would like the file e-mail me at jamierae73@hotmail.com and I'll send it to you.

When I figure out this blog thing I will post the link!

So I've been away for a while....really busy working, creating, cutting, and coming up with ideas for Scrapmania class. I've been trying hard to come up with a class, and it looks like my first class will be a card class, probably friday afternoon at Scrapmania.

Scrapmania is a gathering of scrapbookers and card makers for a weekend of cropping.
It will be held July 23rd from 4pm to midnight at the Full Gospel Asembly on outer Court ST.
and July 24th 9AM to 8pm.
cost is $15 and you can register at Scraps in Houlton or call them at 207-532-0810
Scraps will be hosting the event, and there will be pleanty of prizes.
Lunch is a bring your own or pot-luck. (There is always tons of food!!!)
There will also be a "Scrap Yard" yard sale type set up for anyone who wants to buy or sell.

I've got a ton of stuff for sale, and will have my cricut there to make cuts if you would like.
I'll have pleanty pre-cuts done to check out, but if you have an idea, I can usually find it and cut it for you.

Some people have approached me to make pages for them, and I'm SOOOO excited. It keeps me busy. I'm selling them for $5 per page.

Also been asked to make some shower decorations and cut some stars, hearts, flowers, monograms, and auto decals for people!!! Business is good. I am so happy.

Vinyl cut orders for home decor have been slow, but I'm still waiting for my black vinyl!!!!
I may have to order from some where else. If anyone knows where I can get some rolls of black vinyl, let me know.

I can also make cards or invitations for you!

Who knew a hobby could become a living!!!

Well, hope to see you at SCRAPS or SCRAPMANIA!!!
I'll be scrapping and cutting my heart out!

So sorry its been a while since I posted. Working nights also makes days disappear. Yesterday I slept until 2:20 PM, and then went back to bed at 6:30 and slept until morning. Today should be better, I'm up, I'm ready for the day, and tonight some exciting things may be happening. (I'll fill you in when all the details are taken care of.)

I've been asked by some people to teach a scrap class, but haven't gotten up the nerve just yet. One of the things I most enjoy about scrapping is stitching on my pages. I'm working on an article to post regarding this so stay tuned!!!!

Above is a sample of my stitching. (the flower stem was stitched by hand.)

Newbie

I am a "newbie". I've never tried blogging before, but after much contemplation and research I've decided to give it a go!!

I've always wanted to be a writer, so while searching various "work at home" jobs on the net, I discovered that there is a possibility that I can become one. Maybe I won't publish a great novel, but let me tell you. My life could be a great novel. I've just decided to write it here.

First let me tell you how I came to this interesting place in my life. I'm currently a nursing supervisor at a rural hospital. If any of you are working in the health field right now you will understand what I am saying, when I tell you that there are some interesting things going on in health care and nursing these days. I'm not going to get into that so much today, but keep up with my postings, and I'm sure I will get to it.

What I am most excited to tell you is the story of how I finally found peace and happiness in my life. I found it with God.

For those of you who know Him, you will understand my rantings. For those who have not yet found Him, you can not believe what you are missing!
